5 Xmas Gift ideas costing less than £20.

Well Christmas is just around the corner so I thought the time was right to post my suggestions of what to buy the photographer in your family. The large gifts are easy enough, a new lens or camera body will always go down well (!!!) but what about the stocking fillers? In this post I will suggest 5 Christmas gift idea's costing less than £20.

I will post a brief description of each gift and provide a link to a well known, online store! All the suggestions have been used by me and I can recommend each one.

1. Lenspen New DSLR Pro Cleaning kit  £13.99.

This is a set of 3 dual function cleaning pens and they are very good. I have this set and use the pens every time I use my camera.

The kit consists of an Original Lenspen for cleaning camera lenses, a Filterklear for cleaning lens filters and a Micropro for cleaning small items such as viewfinders.

2. Spudz 10x10 Micro Fibre cloth in Pouch  £7.25.

These are an excellent idea and I have 2 or 3 in my kit bag. The micro fibre cloth is lovely and soft and is perfect for cleaning lenses. They are sewn in to a small neoprene pouch and can be tucked away when not in use. The pouch has a clip and can be easily attached to your camera strap. In addition, the cloth is coloured 18% gray so is perfect to use for white or exposure balancing.

3. Hufa Lens Cap Clip  £7.40.mall

These are perfect for those of us who are always mislaying our lens caps! The Hufa is a small, flexible rubber device that can be easily attached to a camera strap, a kit bag strap or even a belt. When one removes the lens cap it is easy to just clip the cap to the Hufa. Again I use one of these and have found it to be a god send.

4. "A Photographer at Work" by Joe Cornish and Eddie Ephraums  £14.00.

I have already done a review of this book, which can be found a few posts back. There is nothing more to add other than to say that it really is an excellent book and I can highly recommend it.

5. Think Tank Pixel Pocket Rocket Memory Card Holder  £12.95.

For those of us who have a number of memory cards of any format, the Pocket Rocket makes for an excellent card holder. It is made of neoprene and can hold up to 10 SD or CF cards and is rolled up into a sausage shape when not in use. It comes with a lanyard attached so is easily secured to your kit bag.

I hope you find these suggestions to be of help, feel free to buy me any one of these (if you can't afford the Canon EOS 5mk3)!

Until next time stay safe.

Andy
